Seva
*Significance of Pitru Paksha:* Pitru Paksha, also known as the Shraddha Paksha, is a 16-day Hindu tradition that honors the ancestors and the departed souls. It is a time to express gratitude, seek forgiveness, and remove the curse of ancestors, or Pitru Dosha. According to the Shastras, during this period, ancestors visit their living descendants to receive offerings that help them achieve moksha, or liberation from reincarnation. During Pitru Paksha, individuals perform rituals such as Shraaddha, Tarpan, and Pinda Daan. Additionally, performing Gau Mata Puja and offering jaggery and food to cows and calves through Vaidic Scholars, as well as conducting Brahman Bhojan, pleases their ancestors and bestows the native with blessings of happiness and prosperity.
