ധന്വന്തരി പൂജ എന്നത് ആയുര്‍വേദത്തിന്റെയും ആരോഗ്യത്തിന്റെയും ദേവനായ ധന്വന്തരിയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഹൈന്ദവ പൂജയാണ്. രോഗശാന്തിക്കും ആരോഗ്യത്തിനും വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഈ പൂജ നടത്തുന്നത്. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് രോഗികളോ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ആരോഗ്യ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളുള്ളവരോ ഈ പൂജ നടത്തുന്നത് ഉത്തമമാണ്. ധന്വന്തരി ഭഗവാന്‍ വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ അവതാരമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, കൂടാതെ ആയുര്‍വേദ ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പരാമര്‍ശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ധന്വന്തരി പൂജയുടെ പ്രധാന ഉദ്ദേശ്യങ്ങൾ ഇവയാണ്: രോഗശമനം: രോഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും മുക്തി നേടാനും ആരോഗ്യസ്ഥിതി മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താനും വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. ആരോഗ്യം: ദീര്‍ഘായുസ്സും ആരോഗ്യവും ലഭിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി ഈ പൂജ നടത്തുന്നു. ആയുര്‍വേദത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം: ആയുര്‍വേദ ചികിത്സാരീതികളെയും അതിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യത്തെയും ഓര്‍മ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മാനസികാരോഗ്യവും: ശാരീരികവും മാനസികവുമായ ആരോഗ്യത്തിനായി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.
