The word Ashtakam derived from Sanskrit word “Ashta” which means eight, and Ashtakam refers to a particular form of poetry written in eight stanzas. Sri Krishnashtakam is a popular prayer composed by Adi Shankaracharya which describes the holy names of Lord Krishna in eight stanzas. Reciting Krishnashtakam daily bestows us with happiness, peace and prosperity
