<h2>'Iti-hasa' - It happened like this</h2> <h2><span style="color: #f46455;">Ramayana is an Itihasa</span></h2> <p>‘Iti-hasa’ means ‘it happened like this’. Ramayana is an ithasa or a historical epic filled with life lessons for leadership, courage, compassion, truth and devotion.</p> <p>Gurudev says that beyond every event there is wisdom. He says, “Rama is the soul, Sita is the mind, Lakshmana is the awareness and Hanuman is the breath or prana and Ravana is the arrogance or ego. When the mind is kidnapped by ego, the soul becomes restless. With the help of the breath, the mind is reunited with the soul.
