Building a spiritual haven in the Sacred Town of Temples

DONATION FOR THE ART OF LIVING TIRUVANNAMALAI ASHRAM, TIRUVANNAMALAI (Under the aegis of Vaidic Dharma Sansthan Trust)

The Art of Living Ashram at Tiruvannamalai is located at the foothills of Arunachala. Meditation programs (including Sudarshan Kriya) Yoga sessions, silence retreats, programs for children, Intuition Process is being conducted regularly. Meditation happens effortlessly.  

Spiritual Epicenter: Arunachaleshwar Temple represents Agni (Fire) among the Pancha Bhoota temples. The hill itself is believed to be Lord Shiva in physical form, not just symbolic. Saints like Ramana Maharshi considered simply being in Arunachala as a form of deep meditation.

Girivalam (Giri Pradakshina): A 14 km circumambulation around Arunachala Hill usually is done barefoot, especially during full moon day (Purnima). Purnima is said to cleanse karma and bring spiritual clarity. Lakhs and lakhs of devotees with reverence and gratitude walk with deep sense of divinity. Along this path, one will find: 8 sacred lingams (Ashta Lingams). Each Lingam has its own significance i.e. eight guardian deities and each is believed to confer specific blessings. 

Vaidic Dharma Sansthan is currently constructing a G+2 building with Kitchen and Dining hall.  The new upcoming building will accommodate around 100 participants, where regular silence and spiritual programs will be conducted.

Our vision is to build a special Ashram which will be graced by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar’s presence & vision. Building a Temple of Knowledge in this holy place will give it a strong spiritual base. With numerous temples and caves of worship and various spiritual ashrams, the city has had spiritual masters, seekers, meditators and more for than 100s of years. Coming to meditate in a Temple of Knowledge here would benefit seekers from around the world.
