Mauni Amavasya Spl Tila Tarpan & Gau puja from Gujarat Ashram | 21 Jan Mauni Amavasya is one of the most important Amavasyas. \\\'Maun\\\' means silence. So it\\\'s advised to maintain silence on this day. This Amavasya is also considered auspicious for relieving Pitru dosh. This Amavasya is believed to be a day of communion of Devtas and Pitrus. On this day people perform Tarpan, Gau-Daan & Gau-Seva.
