Swami Nirmalananda Ji
Swami Nirmalananda was born at Tenali in Andhra Pradesh and grew up in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. He completed his schooling at an institution, then managed by the Montfort Brothers of St Gabriel and graduated in Metallurgical Engineering from REC, Trichy (Presently NITT). 7 years of working in various capacities especially during the Backward integration, modernization and expansion of Usha Martin Industries Steel Plant, Jamshedpur put the technical skills that he acquired during his internship, while at college, to good use. He stumbled into the Art of Living course in April 1999, got inspired and was blessed by the founder of The Art of Living, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji to be full time teacher in May 2000. Starting with Visakhapatnam, He was instrumental in establishing and nurturing numerous AOL centres in Andhra Pradesh. Since then, he has travelled extensively, conducting various self development programs in different states of India. A brief stint (6months) in East African Federation – Uganda and Rwanda in 2007 followed by a month long healing touch in war ravaged Sri Lanka in early 2013. He was initiated by Gurudev into the Sanyasa Ashrama in December 2011. He continues to conduct and oversee various service activities, self development programs of The Art of Living for different sections of the society ranging from kids, teenagers, college, university students, professionals, corporates, Prisoners (including juveniles) etc. These programs incorporate a combination of innovative games, inspirational knowledge, processes/ activities, experiential tools and techniques including yogasanas, pranayamas, meditation etc along with Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Gyana Yoga and Raja Yoga. He also actively promotes ancient tradition, heritage for upholding of Sanathana Dharma through Vaidic Dharma Sansthan including Pujas, Homas as well as holistic health/ wellness initiatives incorporating Ayurveda and allied sciences. Guided by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji’s vision of Stress-free and violence free society, Swamiji’s mission is to gain and share knowledge, spread the message of Love and Peace by facilitating individuals / institutions to achieve excellence and reach their highest potential.
