On Diwali evening the home is made clean, the lamps are lit, and Mahalakshmi, the Mother as abundance, grace and auspiciousness, is welcomed in. The Lakshmi Puja is that welcome: a sankalpa is taken, the Devi is invoked, and offerings are made with mantra.
At Jetpur it is performed as a homa, with offerings into the sacred fire in Gurudev’s presence. At home it is performed as the Lakshmi Sthapana vidhana at your own altar, guided live, so that each step is done with its mantra and in its order.
Both invoke abundance and auspiciousness for the year ahead, for you and your family.
